The Network of Music and Arts of Persons with Disabilities (NMAD) was firstly formed in 1995, in an informal manner, by the alumni of the Asia-Pacific Wataboshi Music Festival movement led by Japan. Later, NMAD was formally established on 2 March 2006 as a cross-disability network under the supervision of the Foundation for Children with Disabilities (FCD). In the past 3 years, NMAD conducted various activities on music and arts e.g. World Colors Music Festival in 2006, Change Your Life by Music and Arts Festival 2007-2008, Project on Community Youth Development through Music and Arts in 2008, etc.
