ABOUT US

The Nippon Foundation

The Nippon Foundation is a private, non-profit, grant making organisation that supports innovative initiatives to bring about positive change in our world. Founded in 1962 as an organisation that provides global financial assistance to various humanitarian projects with the aim of promoting the development of human resources and international understanding, and assisting people to better meet their basic human needs. In 2006 The Nippon Foundation funded "International Disability Performance "A Musical Show" in Vientiane, Laos PDR. SPOTLIGHT festival is the next stage in this concept development.

Epic Arts

Epic Arts began in 2001 in the UK as a registered Arts Charity, and in 2003 work began in Cambodia. The work of Epic Arts aims to change people's attitudes towards disability, encouraging the belief that Every Person Is Counted. Epic Arts promotes integration of people of all abilities using the arts as a form of expression, empowerment, education and employment.

The Epic Arts Cafe in Kampot came to life in March 2006 and employs deaf and physically disabled staff in order to promote the concept of an integrated working environment. The cafe is also the centre of Epic Arts workshop programme where the local community regularly participate in dance, drama, puppetry and craft workshops.
